Who we are

Hope's Bridge of Fort Smith is a nonprofit serving people in recovery from substance use and people living with mental illness — including many working their way out of the criminal justice system. Our name says what we do.

For most of the people we serve, the hardest part of recovery is not the decision to change; it is the gap between deciding and having somewhere safe to land.

Our work is grounded in the conviction that every person has worth and a future. Residents are welcomed regardless of belief — and accountability and grace are not opposites. Recovery needs both.

Our Mission
At Hope's Bridge, Inc., our mission is to empower and support individuals recovering from substance abuse and those who have been incarcerated in their journey towards a sober and fulfilling lifestyle, and successful re‑integration into society through comprehensive and individualized transitional living services, peer support, mentoring, job readiness training, and case management.
Why "Hope"

for Hope.

Hope's Bridge was founded to support individuals and families affected by addiction and to provide a path toward healing. It is named in memory of Hope Wright — a beautiful young woman and dear friend, who tragically passed away following an overdose. Her memory remains at the heart of this house, inspiring its mission to offer hope, compassion, and connection to those who need it most.

Who we serve

Individuals who are ready to rebuild.

I.

Individuals in early recovery

Adults in early recovery from substance use disorder who need stable, sober housing to hold onto the progress they've made.

II.

People living with mental illness

Individuals who need structure, community, and support to live well and stay connected to care.

III.

Court program participants

Drug Court and Mental Health Court participants who require compliant, recovery-focused housing to complete their programs.

IV.

Individuals re-entering community

Those returning from incarceration or treatment with no safe place to go — and no way forward without one.

For referral partners

Drug Court & Mental Health Court partnerships.

We partner with both court teams, providing housing and support for participants working through their programs — coordinating directly so participants have the stable environment they need to meet requirements, and to succeed after the program ends.

Courts & case managers

Placement, honestly assessed

Drug Court, Mental Health Court, probation and parole, and case managers: call or email to discuss placement. We'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit and what availability looks like.

Treatment providers

Continue what treatment started

Discharging a client with nowhere to go undoes good work. Refer clients who need recovery housing to keep their momentum.
